Web Design Partners specializes in websites for small businesses and individuals. We work closely with the client to build the site they want, not what we might have on the shelf. Every site is custom, based on the client's requirements. Our clients can be local or anywhere in the U.S. If your business requires a shopping cart, we can do that, too.

While we have a number of sites at various stages of completion, we'd like for you to examine a few we currently have on line.

When designing a Web site for an attorney, like the recent one for George H. Connell, Attorney at Law particular attention must be paid to the content for legal reasons. Mr. Connell was very helpful in this regard and made numerous suggestions for the wording to be compliant.

We've never designed a site for diamonds or jewelry, so one challenge for the Miracle Diamonds Direct Web site was creating photos that looked like 'the real thing.' The owner was happy, so that makes us happy.

The C4.Coop site is the "mother ship" of the entire CitruSolution enterprise. Currently, there are only a few pages describing the CitruSolution Carpet Cleaning Process and the CitruSolution business opportunity. Eventually, this will be a quite large site. Some readers may be interested that the scrolling locations window was done in about five minutes using CSS, not Inline Frames (No Frames spoken here!). Also the navigation is entirely CSS, using only two images to achieve the rollover effect.

Web Design Partners is fortunate to now be working with the CitruSolution carpet cleaning cooperative to create one-page web sites for the CitruSolution business owners. These pages make extensive use of CSS so that they can be deployed rapidly. This page is a sample of the many similar pages we've created. All of these pages are linked to the C4.Coop site described above.

Before and After Cleaning Service is a small business specializing in the commercial cleaning of churches and other business properties. While only one page, the web site uses colored divs that expand or contract with changing test sizes. It is important to allow the visitor to set their own text size for comfortable viewing, rather than attempting to "lock" the text size for easiery web page layout. Also, the divs use CSS to achieve the rounded corners.

Waterfield Properties was designed as a simple, but elegant site to feature the exceptional quality and detail of the custom homes by builder Shane Miller. We liked his idea to be able to click on the photo of a home and have the floor plan appear. Another unique feature is the rotating images, which when hovered over, provide a link to a related page.

AlphaStream Portfolios is a complete redevelopment of a site we designed several years ago, rsm-invest.com, which is described below. Bob McWilliams, owner of AlphaStream Portfolios (formerly RSM Investment Systems) wanted this site to reflect the new direction his business is taking.

Old Time Photo Booth Fun! New Technology! Wow PhotoBooth was a really fun site to design, as it was something of a nostalgia trip. Having so many rotating photos was a challenge at times, but the end result is a site where you'll want to stay and visit for awhile.

The owner of Totally Soccer wanted a new, more exciting Web site to announce the relocation of his business. While this new site is now online, future plans call for the addition of several other pages and a shopping cart. Watch this one grow!

A complete departure from the original website, Allegeo Music Lessons has a new upbeat look. The owner wanted the site to immediately let the visitor know what they offer. This is a CSS-based website in which the center column expands and contracts depending on the screen size.

This site for Carpet Care and Beyond was a revision to an existing site. An unusual feature of this site is that the middle column is elastic, with the left and right being fixed in width. This allows the page to expand or contract depending upon the screen size and resolution. Not all pages on this site are fully populated, but hopefully will be soon.

A simple, earth-toned site was important to the owner of E. M. Construction Services, Inc. The owner wanted to limit the site to two pages, so there is a minimum of text, yet the site illustrates well the capabilities and skill of this small remodeling company.

Finish Line Pro is a recently completed E-commerce site that uses a simple, effective, flexible and secure shopping cart. The client wanted bold colors that conveyed some of the sports action on the web site.

We've just completed our third e-commerce site, A Pampered Dog.com, which offers a number of items guaranteed to please you and your pooch. While we are still adding great products, this site features high-quality line of dog beds for any size and any breed dog; heated dog pads; and travel mats. By the time you see this, we hope to have added our own, exclusive dog gift baskets! Yes, really!

One of our oldest web site customers, SMC (Southern Maryland Cable) recently went through a change in management and business focus. Web Design Partners was engaged to do a complete overhaul of their site. This site makes extensive use of CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). CSS allows most of the page formatting, layout, and text formatting to reside in one, separate file. For this reason, making a formatting change that affects every page is a snap. The site is clean and easy to maintain.

The Perfect Gift is an attractive, unique gift shop in the Cumming, Georgia area. While relatively simple, the owner was looking for a site that would convey her branding to her customers. On the technical side, this site makes extensive use of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) in a fashion similar to this site. CSS gives the designer greater flexibility and results in a site that is easier to maintain than sites that use HTML for page formatting.

Our latest e-commerce site is wildbirdgoodies.com. This site was developed using the same tools as Welcome Baby Gifts. Check out this site for some truly unique, decorative, and attractive bird houses, feeders, bird baths, and even bat houses!

Welcome Baby Gifts is an online storefront that was developed using a fill-in-the-blank web building tool. The tool comes with a very capable shopping cart. Using this tool, we can now build e-commerce sites much faster than in the past.

My Mercedes Place and BMW Too is a full-service Mercedes and BMW maintenance facility in Cumming, Ga. We replaced an existing site with something more colorful and more informative. Note the affiliate links. The photographs were taken by Phil Winter.

This site was created for Argan, Inc., a holding company in Maryland. They wanted a tasteful, business-like site on which they could post official documents and links to the SEC. We are currently working on a site for one of their subsidiaries.

A completely different type of site is Phil's photography site. It has evolved over time, and continues to evolve as travel and photography time permits. The home page is a simple, yet elegant design that displays photos effectively. The photo pages themselves are very simple to facilitate updates. Check out the Peru page.
